Home Communication Program
In-home communication support for toddlers and preschoolers with late talking, language delays, and early communication needs.
If you’ve ever found yourself wondering…
“Why isn’t my child talking yet?”
“Should they be saying more by now?”
“Why does communication still feel so hard, even though we’re trying?”
“What should I actually be doing at home to help?”
You’re not alone. Many families of toddlers and preschool-aged children find themselves feeling overwhelmed, unsure or stuck. When communication feels hard, it can affect routines, play, connection, confidence, and day-to-day family life.
The Home Communication Program was designed to offer practical, personalized support in the place where communication happens most: at home.
A more connected approach to home-based speech support
The Home Communication Program is designed to support not just what happens during sessions, but what happens between them, too.
Rather than focusing only on isolated treatment visits, this program blends direct child support with practical caregiver guidance so communication strategies can carry over into everyday routines, play, and family life.
What makes this approach different:
In-home sessions that take place in your child’s natural environment
Play-based, relationship-centered therapy tailored to your child’s developmental stage and communication needs
A monthly structure that includes both direct sessions and parent support
Weekly carryover guidance so you know what to focus on between visits
Ongoing planning and progress monitoring to keep support purposeful and responsive over time
The Home Communication Program
—
$675/month
More than weekly speech therapy, the Home Communication Program is designed to support your child's communication between sessions, empower caregivers with practical strategies, and create meaningful progress where it matters most—at home and in everyday life.
-
Six, 30-minute, play-based sessions per month designed around your child's unique communication goals, interests, and developmental stage.
Most families attend two sessions per week over the course of three weeks, allowing time for consistent progress before Parent Support Week.
-
During the fourth week of the month, caregivers are invited to a live virtual support session focused on toddler communication, play, routines, common questions, and strategy support.
Following the support call, all enrolled families receive a brief written recap with key takeaways and ideas to refer back to at home.
-
After each week of sessions, you'll receive a personalized summary highlighting what we worked on, why it matters, and simple ways to continue building communication naturally at home.
-
Your child's communication plan is continually refined based on progress, emerging skills, and family priorities so every session remains purposeful and personalized.
The Home Communication Program follows a 3:1 Monthly Rhythm. Learn more about it here.
How It Works
Step One
We'll begin with a 60-minute play-based Communication Consultation ($175) where I'll get to know your child, learn more about your concerns, review developmental history, and complete an informal speech and language screening. Together, we'll discuss your child's communication strengths, answer your questions, and determine the most appropriate next steps. Following your visit, you'll receive a written summary with personalized recommendations.
*If ongoing services are recommended and you choose to enroll in the Home Communication Program, your consultation fee will be applied toward your first month's investment.
Step Two
After the consultation visit, I’ll follow up with my recommendation and, if appropriate, details about officially enrolling in our Home Communication Program. If a different next step would better support your child, I’ll let you know that too.
Step Three
If you decide to move forward, we’ll schedule your child’s monthly therapy visits and get started with a plan designed around their communication needs, your family routines and meaningful carryover at home.
Learn More About the Home Communication Program
-
The Home Communication Program supports toddlers and preschool-aged children with early communication needs, including late talking, language delays, autism, and related concerns. If you’re unsure whether your child is a fit, please connect here with questions and inquiries.
-
McQueen Speech Collective is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly.
-
The Communication Consultation is an initial 60-minute in-home visit designed to help us better understand your child’s communication profile, your current concerns, and whether support through McQueen Speech Collective would be a good fit.
This visit includes:
Developmental history review
Speech and language screening
Caregiver discussion and Q&A
Personalized recommendations
Written summary with next steps
The Communication Consultation is an informal screening and consultation visit, not a comprehensive speech-language evaluation or formal diagnostic report.
If a full evaluation is recommended, I’ll discuss appropriate next steps with you following the visit.
-
The Home Communication Program is offered as a monthly home-based program rather than as individual pay-per-session visits.
Each month includes:
6 in-home 30-minute sessions scheduled across the first three weeks of the month
a Monthly Parent Support Hour during the fourth week
a Weekly Communication Focus with practical carryover ideas
personalized treatment planning + progress monitoring
-
Our Parent Support Week includes a live virtual support session held during the fourth week of each month.
During this session, I share practical communication strategies, answer parent questions, and provide guidance around topics like play, routines, language-building opportunities, and common communication concerns.
Families also receive a written recap afterward with key takeaways and home ideas to refer back to.
-
Our services are offered exclusively through the Home Communication Program which is structured as a monthly model rather than pay-per-session therapy. This allows support to extend beyond the session itself and includes both direct child sessions and caregiver support between visits.
-
The first step is to book a Communication Consultation.
From there, we’ll get a closer look at your child’s language skills, talk through your concerns and determine whether ongoing support through McQueen Speech Collective would be beneficial.
